Installing Exchange 2007 SP3 on Windows Server 2008 R2

Hope Everyone know that Exchange 2007 SP3 can be installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2

Lets see how to do a typical Installation

Prerequisites for Hub , CAS , Mailbox – Typical Installation

Open Window Power Shell

Import-Module ServerManager
Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Metabase,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,Web-Dyn-Compression,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Digest-Auth,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy;

For Hub

Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,Web-Metabase,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console

For CAS

Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Metabase,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,Web-Dyn-Compression,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Digest-Auth,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy

For Mailbox

Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-Metabase,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Windows-Auth;

For unified Messaging

Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,Web-Metabase,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,Desktop-Experience;

For Edge

Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,ADLDS;

For CAS and HUB

Add-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Metabase,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,Web-Dyn-Compression,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Digest-Auth,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy;

Extract it – Run the Setup

Choose the Organization Name :

Choose Yes , If you have Outlook 2003 , Cause Here where we decide PF database to be created or not.

But anyways if you choose No. It can be created later .

Click Install –

    We ave a Exchange 2007 Server and we want to use from internet. Now we are using it in Internal network,that is within our private network. Now we want our users to allow access to use from outside network and use Outlook and OWA from internet. We have our mail server linked to the ISP server on our public IP. Now what I have to do on our exchange server, what changes and modifications and new things I have to do. Now our server can able to send and receive mails to and from internet.Means that Now we are able to send and receive mails to internet and from the internet. Now tell me what I have to do.

      when i Ping your domain.com it should point your Public IP.

      Now Create a Send Connector , Search for Send Connector in my website.

      Create a Accepted domain . if your internal domain and public domain differs,

      and things should work , internal and external

      We have crossed many versions.. still you want to go ahead with 2007 ? atleast try to implement 2010 . CCR old model .

    We are planning to migrate current exchange 2007 server from server 2003 to server 2008r2.Can you guide please provide your valuable inputs.The current exchange server is a single system with all roles installed on it.
