Assigning Send-As Permission on a OU in Exchange 2013 – Access is denied – INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS

I had install a BES Server , Which required to assign Send-As on a OU. but it popped with a Error

Solution –

Please Create a Test OU . and  test it.

Open Active Directory Users and Computers

Properties of OU  – Click on Exchange Trusted Subsystems – Give Full Control – Apply OK

That should solve it .

  1. Thanks. Your solution only seems to be a workaround. It is working fine but this is not a correct solution, or?

  2. Thanks for this. Worked for me. Strange though as we never had this issue when we first installed Exchange 2013. BTW, your screenshot of the OU permissions is a little bit confusing. Your text talks about “Exchange Trusted Subsystems” and that’s highlighted, but you have used RED to “hide” the besadmin domain, but it makes it look like you are “underlining” Exchange Windows permissions. Took a few minutes to work that out (long day).

    Could you plz explain, how to reach on “Properties of OU – Click on Exchange Trusted Subsystems” step by step. I tried everywhere. But I could find it anywhere.
    It’s only showing the General tab. Plz guide

    • While writing to which OU – you getting hte error . Right click the properties of the Organizational Unit . you can see the security Tab.
