How to Create Organization Relationship in Exchange 2010

Federation Trust – federation trust establishes a trust relationship between a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 organization

Organization relationship – Federating Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 organization ,

Enables Exchange 2010 Organization  to create a Relationship to an another  Exchange 2010 Organization for the purpose of sharing calendar availability (free/busy) information.

Prerequisites for creating Organization relationship

Your Organization has to be federated

Step 1:

Making sure the destination Organization is federated

Get-federationinformation –DomainName “ExternalDomainName.com”

Step 2:

Once you confirm destination Organization is federated

Open Exchange Management Console

Organization Configuration -> Organizational Relationships -> New Organization Relationship

Step 3:

Type a friendly Name

Make sure

“Enable this Organization Relationship” is Checked

“Enable free/busy information access” is checked

Choose free/busy access with time only.

Choose Next

Step 4:

Enter the External Organization domain Name which needs to have an Organizational relationship

Choose Next

And Choose New,

And Organization Relationship have been Created successfully.

 

You can use powershell Commands like

Test-OrganiztionRelationship to verify the organization relationship

Test-OrganizationRelationship -Identity Contoso.com -UserIdentity test.it@careexchange.in -verbose

Contoso.com denotes the External Organization where we have relationship with

Careexchange.in is our Exchange Domain

How to move mailboxes from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013

Today we would see how to move mailboxes from exchange 2010 to exchange 2013

Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 introduces the concept of batch moves and migration endpoints.

  • Ability to move multiple mailboxes in large batches.
  • Email notification during move with reporting and some more

Login to Exchange Admin Center (EAC)

Choose on the + Sign and Click Move to a Different Database

Now add the mailboxes you want to move to Exchange 2013

Choose a friendly name for the for the Batch move

and

Choose the destination database for the mailboxes

If you have archive mailboxes please read through the options

Select the mailbox where the report need to be sent to

Now batch move has been intiated and

once its completed , you can remove the batch

Now Exchange 2010 mailboxes have bee successfully migrated to Exchange 2013

When ever you Download something using IE , It prompts for ADD the link in the trusted list. which irritates us most of the time doing lab.

Let us get to know how to disable it in Windows server 2012.

 

Error : “Content from the website listed below is being blocked by the internet explorer Enhanced Security Configuration”

Continue to Prompt when website content is blocked

Step 1 :

Open Server Manager – Choose local Server

Step 2 :

See IE Enhanced Security Configuration

Choose “Off” and Click ok

you wont get the above error anymore.

How to Install/Enable and Configure antispam in exchange 2013

Step 1:

To Enable Antispam browse into scripts folder and Run Install-AntiSpamAgents.ps1

or Open Powershell and run the below command

& $env:ExchangeInstallPath\Scripts\Install-AntiSpamAgents.ps1

Step 2:

Restart MsExchange Transport Service to take effect

Restart-Service MSExchangeTransport

Add your Servers list , Which is bound to receive email

Set-TransportConfig -InternalSMTPServers @{Add=”192.168.0.10″}

Step 4:

Now Adding two Known Spam Block list providers and set a Response message

Add-IPBlockListProvider -Name “SpamHaus IPBlockListProvider” -LookupDomain “zen.spamhaus.org” -BitMaskMatch 127.0.0.1

Set-IPBlockListProvider “SpamHaus IPBlockListProvider” -RejectionResponse “Your message was rejected because the IP address of the server sending your message is in the block list.”

Add-IPBlockListProvider -Name “SpamCop IPBlockListProvider” -LookupDomain “bl.spamcop.net” -IPAddressesMatch “127.0.0.2”,”127.0.0.5″ -Priority 1

Set-IPBlockListProvider “SpamCop IPBlockListProvider” -RejectionResponse “Your message was rejected because the IP address of the server sending your message is in the block list.”

Now Antispam is Enabled and Configured in Exchange 2013
