Password Reset Using Active Directory Users & Computers Fails with Error “The System cannot find the path specified”

Looks like the user loaded a temporary file. Checked for Corrupted User registry

Couldn’t see any corrupted registry.

Windows cannot copy file \\?\C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local.V2 to location \\?\C:\Users\TEMP\AppData\Local.V2. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.

DETAIL – Access is denied.

 

Solution –

Took a backup of local.v2 folder  C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local.V2

Removed local.v2 folder.

User able to load a permanent profile.  Domain admin able to reset the user password without any error.
